Terms of use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms of Use and Subscriptions (“Terms”) govern access to roadcosts.gr, the Roadcosts Greece Android app and related features (the “Service”). They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Account Deletion information. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

1. Service provider

Roadcosts Greece is owned and commercially operated by Anelyx, anelyx.com.

  • Full legal name: [COMPLETE — LEGAL BUSINESS NAME]
  • Legal form: [COMPLETE — LEGAL FORM]
  • Registered business address: [COMPLETE — ADDRESS]
  • Business/tax register information, where required: [COMPLETE — TAX / REGISTRATION]
  • Contact: info@roadcosts.gr

2. What the Service provides

The Service offers tools for estimating distance, journey time, toll charges, fuel or electricity cost, overall trip costs and taxi fares. Depending on your platform and plan, it may also display toll booths, motorway service areas, charging points, intermediate stops, traffic-aware routing and other relevant information.

The website may provide fewer features than the Android app. Roadcosts is not a taxi or passenger-transport operator, toll collector, charging-point reservation provider or provider of taxi bookings. When a call or navigation function launches an external app, that app’s own terms may apply.

3. Estimates, not binding quotations

Results are estimates based on the information available at the time and the settings you choose. They are not official tariffs, price guarantees or binding quotations. Actual charges may differ because of roadworks, changes in toll prices, vehicle classes, discounts or e-pass products not covered, fuel prices, actual consumption, congestion, journey duration, taxi surcharges and routing choices.

Taxi fare estimates use rates embedded in the Service and are not necessarily updated in real time from an official tariff. Fuel price information can reflect averages for a limited geographic area rather than a specific pump. Charging-station information is obtained from available registers and does not guarantee live availability, functionality, compatibility or charging price.

Users must follow traffic laws, road signs and the instructions of competent authorities. The Service does not replace safe driving practices or the official information of the appropriate authorities.

4. Google account and access

App account features require Google Sign-In. You must use a Google account you are entitled to access and must not interfere with authentication or share credentials. Roadcosts does not issue a separate account password. Each Google account identifier corresponds to a single Roadcosts account.

You may sign into the same Roadcosts account from multiple devices, subject to technical session limits. You may not resell account access or grant unauthorized third parties access to paid entitlements.

5. Device identification and anti-abuse policy

We use Fingerprint during sign-in to reduce multiple-account abuse on a single device. As a rule, one recognized device identifier may be linked to one Roadcosts account. Attempting to connect a different Roadcosts account to that recognized device may result in sign-in rejection.

We recognize that shared, resold or replaced devices are legitimate and that technical matches may be incorrect. To request review, email info@roadcosts.gr with a description of the issue, without sharing passwords or secret tokens. Following suitable verification, support may arrange administrator-assisted unlinking. Outages of external verification services may affect the sign-in process depending on technical availability.

Users must not misuse the Service, bypass usage limits, create fraudulent accounts, run abusive automated requests, gain unauthorized access to third-party data or unlawfully undermine protective measures. We may apply proportionate technical protections while providing a route to ask for review of an incorrect restriction.

6. Free, Basic, Gold and Platinum

The Service may offer Free, Basic, Gold and Platinum plans. The current feature allocation, monthly calculation limits, purchase availability and pricing are shown in the app’s plan comparison and, for purchases, the final Google Play purchase screen. Actual entitlements may depend on the active plan configuration and app version.

Under the usual configuration, Free has limited calculations and advertising, while paid plans provide increased limits and/or additional features without ads. Some features, such as service areas, journey location services, splitting the cost per passenger, electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, charging points, intermediate stops, round trips, traffic and heavy vehicles, may be limited to particular tiers. The specific plan information displayed at purchase takes precedence over any general description here.

Where a monthly usage quota applies, calculations are counted within the period indicated by the Service. Unused calculations are not guaranteed to roll over. Plan changes will not retroactively remove entitlements already paid for in breach of applicable law.

7. Google Play purchases and access period

Android purchases are made through Google Play and entitlement status is checked through RevenueCat. The final price, taxes, currency, duration and product type are those displayed in the Google Play checkout. Indicative prices shown elsewhere do not override the purchase screen.

Prepaid plans: If you purchase a Google Play product identified as prepaid, it does not renew automatically. Access ends when the paid period expires unless you decide to purchase a further extension or top-up. The prepaid purchase by itself does not authorize an automatic future charge.

Auto-renewing plans: If an auto-renewing product is offered and selected, charges recur at the frequency and price stated at Google Play checkout until you cancel automatic renewal. These provisions apply to such products only where they are actually offered.

Trials, introductory offers, upgrade or downgrade rules and grace periods apply only where explicitly displayed for the relevant Play product. We do not promise a trial or auto-renewal for every plan.

8. Managing, extending, changing and cancelling plans

You can review relevant purchases via the Google Play subscription center, where applicable. Cancelling an auto-renewing plan prevents further scheduled renewals, with access generally continuing through the already-paid period unless a refund/revocation or other special rule applies. A prepaid plan does not need cancellation to prevent renewal: it expires at the end of its paid term unless you purchase a top-up.

Upgrades, downgrades and other changes are subject to the actual Google Play and RevenueCat purchase rules, which control billing and the time at which an entitlement changes. The app includes purchase restoration. Restoring or moving a purchase between internal accounts may be subject to RevenueCat’s purchase-transfer and restoration configuration.

Uninstalling the app, signing out or deleting your Roadcosts account does not by itself cancel a Google Play auto-renewing purchase.

9. Withdrawal, refunds and billing issues

If you are a consumer and a statutory distance-contract withdrawal right applies, you may generally withdraw within 14 calendar days of the contract/purchase without providing a reason. Send an unambiguous statement to info@roadcosts.gr with the information reasonably needed to locate the purchase; do not send full payment-card details. You may use the optional model notice below. Any statutory exception or consequence of partial/full service performance applies only if the legal conditions have been met. Merely using the app is not treated as an automatic waiver.

Refunds for Google Play transactions are normally processed using Google’s payment and support mechanisms. If you submit a timely and valid withdrawal notice or another enforceable claim to us, we will assist in arranging the applicable refund through Google Play/RevenueCat without reducing your mandatory rights. We aim to reply within 14 days; this internal response target does not extend any statutory refund deadline.

After the applicable withdrawal period, we do not generally offer discretionary prorated refunds solely because you did not use all available calculations or deleted your account. This does not affect statutory remedies for non-supply, lack of conformity, erroneous or duplicate charging, or other non-waivable consumer rights. If payment was collected without activating the plan, or Google Play has not resolved a duplicate charge, email info@roadcosts.gr; the solution may require Google Play or RevenueCat action.

Purchase date: [DATE].
Google Play order identifier (if available): [ORDER ID].
Roadcosts account email: [EMAIL].
Notice date: [DATE].

10. Account deletion and its consequences

10.1 How to request deletion

You can delete your Roadcosts Greece account in the Android app: sign in with the Google account used for Roadcosts, open Account, choose Delete account, read the warning and confirm. The operation requires an active, valid signed-in session but does not require a new Google sign-in at confirmation.

You can also request deletion without using or reinstalling the app by emailing info@roadcosts.gr. State that you wish to delete your account and provide the email address you use for Google Sign-In so support can identify the correct account. Support may request additional identity verification before performing manual deletion. Do not send Google passwords, session tokens or payment card details.

10.2 What Roadcosts deletes

On completion, the main account record (including email and Google identifier), active sessions, device-identifier associations with the account, any temporary plan grants and cached subscription-entitlement status are removed from our primary systems. Ordinary monthly-usage records for the internal account are removed, subject to the exception described below. Deletion may terminate access to account features even if a Google Play purchase remains active.

10.3 Limited retention of certain information

  • Current-month calculations: we retain limited usage information under a pseudonymous identifier so that deleting and recreating an account does not reset monthly calculation allowances. These records follow a retention rule of up to 13 months.
  • Limited history of deleted accounts: we retain certain pseudonymised information to manage access under previous subscriptions. We review its deletion weekly. We remove it only when at least 45 days have passed since account deletion and RevenueCat has successfully confirmed that the previous account no longer has access. If access remains or the check fails, the information is retained for a later review. 45 days is not a guaranteed maximum retention period.
  • Other records: rejected sign-in records may be kept for up to 90 days; administrative audit records for up to 24 months; support correspondence for up to five years; and database backups for up to one year, subject to applicable rights and obligations.

More information about data categories, purposes and your rights appears in our Privacy Policy and dedicated Account Deletion page.

10.4 Google Play, RevenueCat and other providers

Deleting a Roadcosts account does not automatically cancel or refund a Google Play purchase. If you hold an auto-renewing plan, manage or cancel its renewal, if desired, through Google Play. A prepaid plan does not renew automatically and expires at the end of its purchased period unless you buy an extension. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights remain governed by section 9 and applicable law.

Account deletion removes device-to-account links from our database, but it does not automatically send deletion requests to Fingerprint or RevenueCat, and it does not automatically erase information held by Google, AdMob or other providers. Contact info@roadcosts.gr to request an assessment of additional provider-data deletion steps. Local device settings may remain until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to any Android backup.

This process does not limit your personal-data protection rights. GDPR rights requests are handled under applicable law, generally within one month, subject to lawful extensions.

11. Availability and service changes

We may make reasonable corrections, maintenance updates and changes to functions or data. Features may depend on Google, other APIs, networks and device capabilities. Material adverse changes to an ongoing paid digital service will be subject to applicable notice duties and consumer rights.

12. Intellectual property and third-party information

The original code, layout and content of the Service are protected under applicable law, subject to third-party rights. Maps, routing data, brands and public registers may be subject to their respective owners’ licences and terms. Using the Service does not give a general right to republish or commercially extract its databases beyond what is permitted by law or applicable licence.

13. Liability and non-waivable rights

We take reasonable steps to operate the Service, but estimates remain subject to the limitations described in section 3. We cannot guarantee that an estimate will precisely equal a supplier’s final charge. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, statutory digital-service conformity remedies, or any other non-waivable consumer rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Greek law, without prejudice to mandatory protections that may apply under the law of your country of habitual residence. For complaints, contact info@roadcosts.gr first. Court jurisdiction and any applicable out-of-court dispute resolution mechanisms are determined by law; nothing here imposes an exclusive jurisdiction clause contrary to consumer protection rules.

15. Updates and contact

We will publish updated Terms with a revision date and provide additional notice where required. Questions or complaints: info@roadcosts.gr.
